The NVIDIA Quadro K5000 graphics card takes advantage of the NVIDIA Kepler™ architecture to dramatically accelerate professional applications. You get greater levels of interaction when designing with the most complex models, richer scene details and effects for content creation, and faster results when processing massive datasets. Plus, the Quadro K5000 features a wide range of innovative features. These include, SMX, a new streaming multi-processor engine, for increased per-clock throughput of key graphics operations, bindless textures enabling the GPU to reference textures directly in memory, and support for up to four displays for driving high resolution large-scale visualization solutions.
The NVIDIA Quadro K5000 comes equipped with 1,536 CUDA cores along with 4GB/256bit of GDDR5 memory for enhanced computational power. The variety of display connectors including both DVI-I Dual-Link and DVI-D Dual-Link reduce confusion when attempting to connect to a variety of displays. This PCI Express compatible graphics card also supports single precision computing performance of 2.1 teraflops and a max power consumption of 122W

NVIDIA GPUDirect for Video
GPUDirect for Video technology allows 3rd party hardware to communicate directly with NVIDIA GPUs. By taking advantage of this new API the former issues of introducing too much delay or latency are gone. With NVIDIA GPUDirect for Video, devices are fully synchronized and the CPU doesn’t waste cycles copying data between device drivers.
